yep, ups delivered my zeal function coilovers i bought on ebay today, and within 15 mins after they got here, i started dissasembling the old suspension. installation was very smooth, every one of the bolts came off no problem, and since they were used.. the camber for they were already set pretty good, except for the rear, which has the dampening a little too soft...
the coilovers came without adjustment equipment, so i had to improvise when setting the ride height, which still isnt perfect, but good enough. also, when i try and set my dampening in the rear, i turn the bolt on the top of the tower clockwise, but there is no click? it seems to get stiffer, but theres no way of telling what its set at... so i just counted how many turns i screwed it on. it seems to make it somewhat stiffer, but that doesnt sound right to me. maybe when i take it to the performance alignment shop they can tell me whats up.
i have the ride height now set at 2 fingers in the rear, 3.5 in the front, and its slightly higher in the front left, which i'll fix later.. im too tired right now.
i'll take some pics in a few days and post them up if anyones interested.

Don't mess around too much with the dampening settings until you find out exactly how it works. If you make them too soft, you can damage them. Why didn't you get adjustment knobs and spanner wrenches with them?

dont measure the height with fingers only.. i hope your counting the threads or something on the coilover body

this isnt permanent, im taking it to a performance alignment shop to get it aligned and cornerweighted. this is just to get it good temporarily

ok. i believe that you recieved funtion b2's...
The adjustment should have a dial on the top going from 1-6 Unless yours is ultra mega old.

the front has adjustment knobs on the bottom, so they are v6's... i think they are just really old... so im gonna email endlessusa and see if they can give me some insight... there is no adjustment knob or anything, just a 17mm bolt for the rears on top, and i think a hex nut on the bottom for the fronts

interesting.. well thankfully.. endless usa can rebuild those coils and figure out how to go about giving you damping adjustment in the rear

ok.. heres a pic of the coilovers..... tell me what you think?

notice the little knobs on the bottom.. however they do not turn. they are only endcaps for what looks like a refill port? there is a bolt down inside there that is possible to get to with a deep well socket...
i also was told by the seller that these were originally bought and used in japan, so i wonder if that could have something to do with it

can i see the top of the front and the top of the rears? and a close up of the bottom of the front as well.. also, all japanese zeal coilovers are imported to the usa through endless usa then through auto rnd =)

sorry to bring back this old thread, but might as well use it instead of makin a new one....
ive been using these now since the last post, and i must say i love them, even if i havent figured out how to adjust the dampening... it seems to be set very nice for street use and for what i use it for. this is pretty much the curiosity wanting to know what is up with these, because i even talked to someone at endless a little and he was baffled... heres some pics of the tops and bottoms of them:

im thinking they are really old coilovers, and dont have their new pvs system or whatever, but how would you adjust them? take them apart?
ps: sorry bout the terrible quality pics

maybe they are non adjustable..
i can't see the side view very well but are the front shocks inveted?
or do you see a dust shield on the shaft.

the fronts had no dust shielding like the rears did on the shaft
did zeal make non-adjustables? these look exactly like the v6 model, except no pvc knob or whatever
i also noticed that the front camber plates had a tein stamp on it when i was up under there... dunno if that means anything or not
