How ahard are these to press if you don't have a press. Can you just use a bench vise, some muscle, and some lube, or will you damage them?

PDM has whiteline ones for $50 a pair, but I don't really need performance ones. Are their cheaper ones that are still good quality?

Mine have not started to leak yet, but I can feel them going out.

you can do it with a large vice just grease and go.

Just get OEM replacements if you don't need performance.

Poly TC bushings bind the suspension and break lower control arms.

i just bought the white line ones, i cant tell much of a difference. But courtesy nissan has some for 30 bucks and it took me forever to get the old ones out id just pay 20 bucks and have them pressed out by a shop its worth your time and money imo

Sweet, I'll go OEM. Might as well stay stock if I ever get enough cash to autocross again.

or you could just save up for adjustable rods, since you don't need them right away.

TC bushings aren't the only thing on my shopping list :hsdance:

AKA is right, whitelines (and ES for that matter) will break LCA's over time, and I don't need the extra stiffness. I may go with Nismo rubbers for $40 from courtesy because OEM seem to come with the whole assy, according to my dealer (they always pull this crap with me, even if it is true for TC bushings).

It is true for the TC bushings, Nissan only sells them as part of a full TC rod.

I thought the Nismos were $32 apiece?

I'm probably going to get them for my car anyway. I've never liked pillowballs, even though they did their job effectively.

D'oh, maybe they are $32 apiece. What's wrong with pillowballs? Too much maintenance?

Too much vibration through the steering. I think they contributed to the demise of the steering rack in my old car. Just a hypothesis, though. They made the steering feel weird to me either way... though it beat the vagueness of blown bushings.

Energy suspension makes tc rod bushings that go for under $40.... They really improve steering control on the 240.... Just torch the old ones outta there, and get some KY that you have lyin around.... take a hammer and bang it in there.... whala!....good to go.... But otherwise, take the tc rod offa your car and to a shop with a press. :rawk:

what about adjustable ones like kazama, will those still break LCAs?

Pillowballs allow some rotation of the TC rod. They won't break LCAs like the urethane bushings will.
