Different SR20DET oil filter?? Help.

i just installed a redtop in my car and its using a different oil filter then the normal SR's. Anyone ever have this problem? The problem is the threaded thingy that the filter screws on to is a larger diameter then a normal SR.

Maybe whoever had the redtop before you stuck an S14's oil filter "threaded thingy" on it. I'm sure you know this already, but the thread pitch for an S14 SR's filter is 20-1.5mm thread that is compatible with B14 SR Sentra filter which also has a 20-1.5mm thread. (info from SRFiveTen)

the one i use is diff then most i think too, the nissan number is a "53JOO" like 53jew... but yea see if it fits, i use a relocation kit so ... just try it

I dunno.. I am using the S14/S15 SR20DET factory filter on my S13 blacktop which is the same part as the one for the 350Z/G35.

I've used 91 Sentra SE-R oil filters and those fit as well.

how much oil are you supposed to put in a sr20det?
