Dead Alternator

Man...this really blows. After 3 years I finally got my S13 Sr20det running strong, and then with my bad luck with this car the alternator died on me today. I've done some search for it alraedy, but I am having now luck with it at all. Can anyone guide me in the right direction...

from what i've been told, you can use the dohc ka alternator and use the SR alternator brackets

SO the DOHC Alternator bolt right on? and also would a SR20DE work

Get it rebuilt, you will have to give the shop the alternator for a day or 2 at most and it will cost you 40-50$

so the KA alternator works for SR20det?

this is an old thread, but it will work on the sr. You have to change the pulleys though...meaning swap the sr pulley for the ka pulley on the ka alternator and then you can use it.

I have a good sr alternator. You just need to take the good plastic piece off yours an put it on. PM me if interested.
