first off, i know what i did was really really really stupid. so i was fixing the timing chain rattle on my 1996 240sx se and was having troubles getting it to start. it started up just fine and then when i went to go test drive it, it died on me. so off course i went through and double checked the distributor to make sure it was line up with the 1st cylinder, it was, so i went to go back and try starting the engine, but i forgot to take my 1/2" ratchet and 27 mm socket off of the crank pulley, now it is leaking oil out of the crank shaft pulley. i need to help as it is my only car and i have work and all that and i can only rent a car for so long... what do i need to replace?

What motor? Sr or ka? Sounds like your going to have to replace the front main crankshaft seal... inexpensive part

its a ka24de. well i replaced the front main seal after dealing with 3 wrong seals order by autozone. and when i was looking over the crankshaft pulley, i noticed that there is a nice crack in it. i have tried searching all the standard online sites for one, but all i can find is a underdrive or a $630 ati damper. do you know where to get a stock replacement one or could i just go with an underdrive and worry about replacing the seal more often? i have had good luck with isis products. here is the one i saw http://www.enjukuracing.com/products/%2AISIS-Underdrive-Crank-Pulley-%252d-Nissan-240sx-91%252d98.html

I have done the same thing, left my ratchet on the crank pulley and it loosened the bolt by itself. I didn't find it loose until months later when it started leaking out tons of oil. Also my crank pulley also cracked. I bought an ASP under drive crank pulley to replace it with but ended up buying a used oem one to pass smog here in california.
