i have a question, or hypothesis..or whatever.. so, i was doing a 5 speed swap and somehow ended up with 3 mt trannys. On has a b&m shifter plate on it and no lever,shaft,whatever.. the other two have seemingly stock shifters. So, i was thinking that if the b&m shift plate still has the little bushing/lever channel guides in it i could buy an Isis short shifter and transfer the guts over and have the best of both worlds.. sounds good in theroy to me..or am i missing something?

If the stock shifter fits in the b&m then you're good. Only problem is you should still have the stock throw. The shifter rod itself is what shortens the shift.

Yeah, that's why I was hoping the isis will fit, but we'll see

Why go through all that work? Just buy a isis one new... they are not that expensive, I just sold one (ver.2) 2 weeks ago for like $30 shipped. Also there are few guys in the classifieds that have a Tomei and a C's shifter for sale. Those are probably hands down the 2 best short shfiters you can get.
