Hot Shot Header ?

Hey guys I installed the hot shot header I bought yesterday. So far everything is good. No codes have been thrown even though my EGR pipe is disconnected and header plugged with a nickel! The power gains are noticable for sure but i have one question. My car makes a lot of noise now. It kinda sounds like maybe it was an exahaust leak. I checked all the piping underneath the car and it was all tight and nicely put together. I then checked the header to make sure all the head mounts were tight and they are. Aswell I cant see or smell any exhaust smoke.

Now the only thing I could come up with is that for some reason maybe I can actually hear the valves and lifters. Is that even possible i dont know. But it sounds like a clicking kind of noise. Anyone have any other ideas? Does it have somethin gto do with the EGR being disconnected??

My guess would be the header. Whenever I use the Hotshot header on my SOHC engine it always makes it sound raspy like it has an exhaust leak also.

could be the EGR. Even a little leak would cause noise 'cause of the pressure. How about welding the hole over.

Thanks guys I am going to go get the EGR welded shut today we will see if that makes a differece.

my thoughts too... hotshot's header on the SOHC is noisy. and my egr wouldn't fit on their 2nd gen. header. oh well the sr's on its way in!!!
