Thats right. We are doing it again. We will be hosting a 2 day meet at our shop here in Milpitas. It all starts 10am on saturday morning. There will be free food and drinks for all. Donations accepted.

The meet be on the 19th and the 20th of june, about a week away.

Be there or be square. We have not had enough meets this summer yet, so lets get out there and do it.

My s14.5 might not be there considering last friday i was doing a tv shoot for stir tv at altamonte and my hood flipped up, broke my windshield, dented the shit outa my roof, and broke my hood of course. I will try to have it done by then.

my car was leaking some blue smoke, it turned out some oil was burning, got into the spark plugs area and shit.

basically, replacing spark plugs, wires (thats not a problem), distributor cap and rotor, and valve cover gasket.

I may need a compression check ...to see if there's anything really really broken.

I definitely need to replace the front tires and get a front alignment.

Problem is, the valve cover gasket might not get here in time, as it was backordered.

I"m pretty sure this stuff is minor work, I've just never done it alone before, but if you guys are having a meet, and are capable of doing all that work anyways...i figured it might be convenient as I could hang out with people as work was being done.

where are you getting the valve cover gasket from? i went to my local kragen and they didnt' have any, but pep boys had like 5 in stock

yeah, the blue smoke came from the tail pipe, i had a friend thats a Nissan mechanic (nissan doctors...in south SF i think) check it out.

Valve Cover gasket i ordered from nissan-car-parts.com, cuz i had to also order a upper front bumper retainer following a minor accident, and also the distributor cap/rotor. It was like...$21 bucks. Why not go nissan if its that cheap, right? The pepboys/kragen use 3rd party replacements...no big deal.

Ordering from Kragen will be a week anyways (i asked), and there' s no Pep boys here in Davis.

And if there is smoke coming from your tailpipe then it is not your valve cover, it is prob, your rings, valves, or head gasket

The smoke stopped after a day, I'm doing all of this as a precautionary thing.

The dude also said just to take care off the gaskets and plugs and wires and stuff, drive the car... see if there are any problems after that, if its clean after a month, then there's nothin more to worry about.

Still waiting for the stuff to ship...

I am thinkin simply to change the plugs and wires since i'll have those, and it should be good enough to drive to the meet at least.
