Well, all i need on my sr swap is a cam angle sensor, ignitor chip, harness, and #62 ecu. Well, that is going to run me up around $900. I'm going to do the JWT KA to Sr ecu, which you use the ka harness, and a distribtor from a RWD sr20de. The only thing is JWT wants $500 for the distributor. Anyone know of any part #'s or places i can get a used sr20de (rwd) distributor? Your thoughts and opinions please. Thanks.

If you have a 90 it wont really work. You need a 91+ to do the jwt thing.
On the distributer, um a place that gets parts from Japan.

don't do it. People use to do that only when they couldn't get complete harnesses (and clips). (I don't think anyone even remembers) Just do the complete swap instead. Electronic Ignition is better anyways.

yeah that shit never works right search on freshalloy, there were two or three people that had all sorts of problems, that magiclly went away once the switched to the stock sr stuff from the jwt stuff.

well, my best friend has the JWT set-up and it does perfect. Runs better than stock, and better than most swaps. It does work on the 90... JWT charges $50 to change the postioning on the end of the distirbutor to make it work.

Yeah it may work on a 90 with a 91 ecu and harness.
The 89-90 plugs are different for fuel injectors, crank sensor, TPS, O2 sensor, idle control and it doesnt even have a knock sensor. But I suppose if you repin or splice in all that stuff with different connectors, it could work.

Ben at JWT says it everything would work the same if i got the distributor sensor re-postioned... i'm not too sure... we're going astray from what i asked... anyone know of where to get a rwd sr20de distributor?

Well then Ben at JWT must be right obviously. Hey if any of the plugs seem like they wont fit just push on them as hard as you can. Ben at JWT said they would fit so it must be true. And even though there is no knock sensor on your harness, the knock sensor and ecu will magicly communicate somehow, Ben at JWT will make it happen using his magic Ben at JWT powers. Go ahead and give JWT $1000 of your money. Ben at JWT will be pleased.

Well i am sure. I am using a sohc wiring harness on an sr with an sr ecu. Most of the plugs on the wiring harnes have to be replaced. On a 91+, the fuel injector, cas and tps plugs are the same.

why go through all this trouble when you can get a hold of a rwd SR harness and coilpacks for near about the same price, and 1/3 the trouble.

I have done several JWT/SR20DE distributor setups.. and have never had problems. I am doing one right now in the shop as we speak.
Also, I have a distributor if you need one buddy.. PM me for details..

Are you talking FWD/AWD or RWD. Because they're TOTALLY different.

Come on now.. I read the post.. Give me SOME credit. ;) Of course I meant RWD. The biggest problem that people have is that they get worn out distributors, or they don't set it up right.
