Hey guys, my names shawn. I'm an 18 year old college freshman and I live in Southern Ontario. AKA rust capital of the world. Theres no such thing as a "rust free" car here. Even the so claimed rust free cars still have some, maybe not much. But a bit.

I'll also be doing a running tab of the cost of my build as of now, I started about $1000 in, so from here on add $1000 to my cost as I am doing this super budget and waiting for sweet deals to come up.

This is me:

It was ugly. Still is I guess, but I like to think I made it a little better.

This is my shop:

So I bought the car off some asian kid out of a storage unit last January for $200. It didn't run, and it was rusty and riced out.

Unfortunately I didn't take many pictures until the last few weeks I have been working on it because it was just to cold in the garage last winter, but our shop we have now is heated 24/7 so it's not too bad.

Anyways, we started finding out what was wrong and why it wouldn't start. After about 5 minutes we found the problem, the entire harness was just cut in half at the fuse box. We figured the kid took it to his "mechanic" for a short out because the headlights kept going up and down, instead of fixing it he just cut the harness in half. So I dove into rewiring the harness back together. It was cold, and took about 6 hours to figure out where each wire went and connect them back together.

After I got them together the headlights were going up and down, hence the theory of why it was cut in the first place. I forget what was wrong but it was a really easy fix, and after that the car ran fine and all my electronics worked, minus cruise control and my cigarette lighter. No big deal.

I drove the car all summer until college started up, and it never gave me a single problem. After I started college I had to drive a boring old neon.

So in mid December I started accumulating some aftermarket goodies, like rear coils, GTR seats and an sr20 to put in.

The loot:
Power FC and commander that came with my sr20. $900 including the SR20DET, 2 trannys and the ecu/commander

One of the first things I did when I got the engine was find a turbo. It had a T28 but didn't come with one, so we set out to the scrap yard to find one. We found a Saab 900 buried in the snow. $75

Still need front coils lol
Question: no cars came with a stock T28 that has proper flow rates that I may find in a scrap yard right?
