Hello again I've been a member on this forum for awhile now even though my account got deleted because I haven't used it in a while because I've gotten out of the S-Chassis for a while, but now I'm back.
I bought this S13 with a redtop SR a few months back and never had a problem with it besides a few injectors dying , turbo nuts vibrating loose and now this.
I've put a few bolt ons on the car, like FMIC, BOV, 255 lph fuel pump, boost controller, etc.
I've ran it at the drag strip a few times with slicks and done a burnout here and there and never had a problem even with the oem clutch that came with the SR until recently. The clutch started to feel weaker about a month after I last drove it hard, but it never really felt like it was slipping, but I was pretty sure it was about to go.
One night at a friends shop I decided to test that theory by doing a burnout on street tires, 1st gear was fine then when I shifted into second (to put more stress on the clutch) it slipped pretty bad and I smelled the clutch so I let off.
I couldn't get rid of the smell so I parked it in the garage for about 3 days with the Window down and the smell was gone. I drove it the next day and didn't smell anything with or without the Window up until I parked the car and got out. The smell was lingering around the car for hours. Basically the smell is always there right after I get done driving, or when it's sitting at idle, especially with the hood popped.
I know the clutch is done and the input shift bearing is bad(for months now) do any of you guys had experienced the same problem? If so is it just the clutch or anything else? I've never had this particular problem with any car before.
