Latley I have been looking around on forums for Sr20det builds.
I've seen a lot of people on multiple forums saying that 550cc injectors, Z32 maf , and an afc (along with supporting mods like, fuel pump, exhaust, fpr, etc) will get you close to 300whp
My question is, is that really true? I am running the exact same setup and my car feels like it's nowhere near that.
For example I rode in my friends bonestock (except for a front mount and exhaust) SR and his pulls harder and feels much more powerful than my car has ever really felt....
It's kind of frustrating because I am just learning to drift and lacking power is kinda messin with my mad skids

I left out the bigger turbo, Mine is a GT2871R
Ditch the AFC and get a proper ROM tune for your car at the very least. Do a boost leak test, then go to a dyno.

First off how is yours tuned?

Mines on a Apexi neo. ( stock ecu)
And Def trust me I really really would love to get mine tuned but I live in Boise Idaho and literally no shops really tune at all.... I have no idea how people get tunes done around here because I have been searching forever on where to go

I have tried Enthalpy as well but for some reason I think marked kept tuning it wrong because he said it was a maf problem but infact I know for sure it wasn't

Martin is a very smart guy and he would own up if indeed it was his tune. You should probably look over your motor. Boost leak, compression test, pull MAF voltage check mech and CAS timing, and your spark plug gap.
There is nothing fancy about a ROM tune. If your engine ran poorly after someone knowledgable tuned it, then you had a hardware/mechanical problem.
I never once tuned a car that was working well that needed things tweaked more than the slightest amount.

I've been running a mail order tune for a while. If the rom tune you had didn't work right you probably had some other issue. Especially if your car is slower than a stock sr.
Lastly this post is kinda troll-ish
SR20?

If you have an s13, just get Nismotronic and call it a day. John Kerr is a beast and his products are simply badass. He even offers an E-tuning service where you basically email him data logs and your tune and he emails you back a revised tune which you data log again and send back etc etc etc.
Now with that being said, I agree with everybody about checking over your setup. If you have any problems with your setup that could be a huge factor in why your friends car is faster. Could just be better maintained.

check your compression. you have a wideband? hows it reading.
i just read your trying to learn how to drift and the power is fucking you up? you dont need power to drift. i know someone with a single cam that drives better than 90% of people around here

I too know someone with a single cam ka24e who drifts. I mean it kinda feels boggy on the low end side.
I just did a boost leak test today and found a couple good leaks so I tightened them up and that has really helped a lot.
I think maybe I should replace the pcv and the fuel filter too I haven't done that since I bought the car.
