i know there is an aftermarket tranny for the sr20 that comes from hks, but its like 10k, and that would be more than i payed for the car and the sr together, so i was wondering what my other options would be, are there any other companies that make a good aftermarket tranny for the sr20, any feedback would be appreciated, oh the car is a 93 240sx se

yeah, the only one I heard is HKS which is 6spd.

its not worth the expense, with slight bellhousing modifications the r33 gts25t skyline gearbox can be bolted up and these are close on indestructable, have been known to do 9's

thats a much better bet, with the us dollar the way it is, importing from say nz or japan would be cost effective also

why do you need an upgraded SR tranny what problems are you having with the current trans and what mods do youy have to your SR

greddy makes a 6 speed sequential shift gearbox, runs about 7k. The os giken kit is just for the internals, you'll probably want to get that professionally installed if you get it. Tomei also builds internals for the tranny.
