i got a 91 with blown haed gasket and a spare motor in shed welll i want to build the spare and turbo it. i have searched and found a few people that had alot of horse power with stock internals and thats what i was thinking of doin because i dont have that much money to work with. WELL THE QUESTION IS SHOULD I JUST STAY WITH STOCK OR SAVE MY MONEY and go all out i heard the stock KA can handle alot of horse power so i figured it would be done alot faster if i just stayed stock but i wanted to get everyones opion first and a recomendation on parts thanx

Well sounds to me like you're kinda broke which would make a built KA turbo project hard to come by. If you want to go the cheaper route you will have to do some research on Do It Yourself turbo projects that people have been doing. They have been getting about 230-250 hp on a pretty low budget.

Searching for Ace's posts may be very helpful. Either way you'd have to save money for the parts. Don't skimp on the fuel/engine management.

whats your goal?
if you're just aiming for ~250, stock internals are fine
if you're aiming for more than 300, having forged pistons is a nice insurance.
The key here is just tuning and fuel. focus more on that if you're on a budget.
I agree with kandyflip, search for aceinhole's posts. very helpful information
