Hi, first post here, wondering if anyone could identify this body kit, I LOVE IT! such a beautiful car.
Reason Im asking is that Im going to buy a 240sx.. and Im just exploring my options.. so far its between this and an s15 conversion.. Think I can buy a 240sx and get the s15 conversion for unde r$15k USD? its what I have available right now, sure hope its possible :)

Any front shots? It's hard to tell from that picture what kind it is. It's round... so an educated guess would be Bomex?
And welcome to Zilvia.

It's definately the c-west side steps and rear bumper. I dunno if its the front bumper or not, it's hard to tell from the picture.

And if I had 15k to spend on my car I wouldn't do the s15 front end. But if you must: http://www.jspec.com/s15conversion.html. Be cool and keep it a zenki. I just think it looks weird to have the strawberry face on an s14 from the pictures i've seen. But it's your car and not mine.

Dude it depends on what you wanna do. Do you wanna do engine work? or so you wanna build a show car?

StupidGreen87 said he wouldnt do what I was doing. I am totally new to 240sx' and cars in general, I thout "Hey, maybe there are some better options out there that I don't know about yet" I asked him what he would do instead, to see if I could learn something else, or see some more paths I could go. TOtally honest question. stfu fucking idiot.

s13Dr1ft> hopefully a mixture of both, depending on how much money is required, as I said I have $15k USD, when I came here I was hoping to find out how much s15 conversion is, or that cwest boky kit, to see how much I could have left, then I'd see how much I can mod the engine, etc.

go with the cwest man, i had it on my old car, looked soo good and the quality was amazing. s15 conversion can run you from 1500 to 3000 depending on wear u buy your parts, and the quality of the parts. if i had that money, id buy a s14, doesnt matter what condition as long as the frames straight and there isnt major damage to the body panels. that should cost you around 4 to 6thousand. then id learn how to drive it until im really familiar with the car and its capabilities. then with remaining money i would put it towards suspension first( around 6gs in mutlilink parts, coilovers, lsd and such) then the rest of the 5 gs into the engine (most likely sr or kat). learn how to drive that before doing any other mods, make sure you tune it properly on a dyno and then go out and have fun (at the track!) enjoy your car and good luck. as for the s15 conversion, it doesnt reallly float my boat but if your dieing for it, do it at once your done with the rest. oh ya and get some decent sized wheels and save money for tires, youll be needing plenty of them.

My take on conversions is this:
Who are you trying to impress? Your average uninformed car enthusiast will not even notice you did any type of conversion. They'll just scratch their heads wondering what kind of car it is. And non-car enthusiasts will definitely not notice you spent $3000 to change your headlights. Girls? Girls just like shiny stuff. :D
If you have the car already and its a zenki and you really really want to change the look, I suggest going with a CWest (or other high quality) body kit as already mentioned in this thread.

My suggestion is go Vertex, if not then go to C-West. Honestly though there are so many kits out there, just search bro. One advise though, from experience, stick the high quality usually JDM kits.

you're totally new to cars yet you want to undertake a large scale project such as this? it's one thing to ask for actual information but opinions on what you should do and asking for things that most of us have found by simply READING THE FORUMS.
example: it's like when people come to HDC and are like "hey i wanna be a hacker but i dont wanna read a lot, can i osmosize (yeah its spelled wrong, don't care) information somehow?". go back to hollywood you flaming tard.
read read read read and read. when you get tired of reading GO WORK ON YOUR CAR and when you're too tired to do that look at shiny pictures of other shiny 240's to gather ideas. there is NO need to ask other people for ideas that you need to come up with anyways. this is really for your own benefit.

it's threads like this that make me hate the car community..it shows us the worst in noobs and brings out the worst in those tired of hearing the same idiotic questions..you either resent them, are complacent, or actually want to help..i'll take D, none of the above...
yes, we all started somewhere..but did we all need our hands held when we started?

and when that gets old go to honda forums to bask in the light of other ricers that share interests such as the one you so fervently want.

Arch definately has a stick up some oraface, dude, lighten up!
as for the cwest kit, its really agressive looking, except on black. and thats the zenki kit btw, in case you can't tell from the side profile. The kouki kit has less lines and has a smother look.
I suggust that you buy the car first, then worry about what bodykit you want for it.
oh, btw, screw looking at pictures, really, when it comes to stuff for cars, your best bet is look at them in person. Thats why 240 meets are so cool. A lot of things look different in 3D. I originally wanted a bomex sunny style wing for my car, until i saw it in person. I decided i didn't like it. Also, the zenki aero pieces looks different up close and personal.
also, a lot of body stuff depends on the color of the car. lighter color cars display detail better, curves shows off nicer and lines are more noticable. A good flowing kit like a vertex looks best on a lighter color car. Dark colors, especially black, hides the lines. You can get away with a very aggressive looking kit with a black car. Wylin and i have the same aero pieces (except wing and rear) and when we park next to each other, it looks really different (he has a white car).
anyway, something to think about. But go to 240 meets, people are much nicer in person and you get to look at cars from many angles.
