I recently bought a 240sx the guy I bought it from swaped out the engine to a ka24de car bogged out before not now but still not running right misfiring I've changed the spark plugs spark plug wires distributor and distributor cap aligned properly so it is timed car doesn't bog but has a high idle and when it's there just slows down then revs back up other than that every battery I buy just dies even when fully charged when try starting it battery is dead idk why any suggestions on why it's misfiring and why it revs up and slows down and back up agin and why might my battery dies I've checked startr it was fine if really appreciate any help I can get

check for vacuum leaks. As for the battery dying, sounds like your alternator

I agree with above, Could also be lower harness issues, maybe something disconnected. Check your 75 amp alternator fuse in the fuse box on the passenger side of the engine bay first. Then, get your alternator checked at advanced auto. Do you have any lights that are staying on, check for anything that's pulling power once the ignition switch is off.
I had a similar issue a few years. when I did the auto to manual swap when I put my sr in. The engine bogged when the battery was low and would eventually shut off the car. It was due to a hacked lower harness, I replaced with a new one, boom no more problems.
