Ok, so I guess the title was vague, but here's my issue:
Background:
I have a '91 Coupe with a red-top SR20. The car originally had a HUD cluster.
After doing the SR swap, my speedo/tach work, and the tach is accurate (at least as far as I can tell), but the speedometer and therefore odometer are not. They read approx. 1/2 of the actual speed/distance traveled, give or take.
I just swapped in an analog cluster (complete with sub-harness, so no splicing) to test it out, and the lights and such work, but the tach doesn't read anything. I'm not sure what year car (SOHC/DOHC) the analog cluster came out of.
Parts I have:
HUD cluster (working) with sub-harness
Analog cluster (working) with sub-harness
Question:
What do I need to do to get a working speedometer?
I really don't care if I end up using the digital or analog cluster, as long as everything works. Speed sensor maybe?
I'm stumped, so if anyone has some ideas/advice, it would be much appreciated :)
