12 vs 16 valve would only tell him E or DE, not specifically '91

no the single cam only came in 89-90 cars, 91 and newer came with DOHC. cant really help ya on identifying the motor, maybe check the serial number on the block,

wtf guys, the 91's had more aggressive cams, there was a thread on this just recently, I'd search for it, but that should've been someone else's job *hint-hint* ;)

All you guys talking down to him about E vs DE need to stop being condescending, cuz now u look dumb. He knows what he's asking, he wants to know if he has the more aggressive cams that came in the 91 KA's.

edit: sykik is right. apparently all the dohc s13's had the same cams, not just the 91's (tho I can understand the misconception now, as there were more 91's than 92 or 93's together)
here's the last thread this topic was mentioned in...

Yes listen to the man^^^ I don't think the original question is asking how to identify DOHC and SOHC there were the cams that were apparently only in a 91, but I have heard so many different things about them exhisting and not being real. Good luck and I think searching a lot of other posts would be your best bet.

Sorta.

'94 convertibles had smaller cams and no secondary butterflies... S14-style.
