hello guys. to start off, yes i did search the forums and yes i did find a solution that did not work. i hit the 2 spots with a solder iron and it did not fix the bouncing needle. its going crazy as i put it into ignition. is it the capacitor or the motor? if so where can i find these parts? or do i have a bad ground? if so, where should i check for it?

thanks guys. this is really annoying and i want to fix it. cheers!

I'd pick bad ground.

Did you try putting in a good tach? Thats what fixed my issue after resoldering a few points failed to correct it.

also got a bouncing needle when idling, and around ZERO when engine is running.
have no idea whats wrong, cluster works in my buds car, also swapped ecu, nothing worked out.
