112mph limiter on manual transmission cars unless you disable it. The only variations would be from tire height or non-stock rear end gears.

With the limiter removed, a stock 240SX has the power and aerodynamics to go about 140.

4900rpm, after 0.759:1 5th gear, 4.083:1 final drive, based on a 25" tall tire (stock size), is 113mph.

i took my car up to 155 mph vs. my friends turbo rsx type-s. he was going 150. i have an sr20det w/ a tuned ecu. it went way past what my speedo reads. i had to read it off my power meter id. and yeah i was well ahead of his "acura"

I don't like the way my car handles after 130. Maybe my coilovers will get in and all that will change. I did have my corvette up past 160 on I-75. One time I saw the spedo read 148, 10 seconds later, full throttle... wrecked.

I had the needle alll the way down.. 5spd with hacked speed governor trick. My guess was around 130 on KA with usual intake electric fan bs, was running a 3000gt and a wrx a few times, race seems pretty close until you cant go any faster and they keep going..

Now, this is when i never really cared about much. Now i wouldnt ever dream of doing this. I know the stupidity of the speeds i have went. the only thing i did that was smart was doing it on Highways in the boonies at early morning hours...Still not ok by anymeans but its not during rush hour traffic.

this was at el mirage, at 110+ all the little bumps turns into scary big bumps and i was too scared to actually "top out"

I have an auto trans...I held it until the tach stopped climbing and that was WAY after the speedo was buried. Stupid. Real fucking stupid. I was so scared I was going to get pulled. My speedo is off anyway,lol. I hit a little over 5,500K on the tachh,but that was the last thing I was looking at,at the time.

Whats great about the S13 is that it pulls like an M-F on the highway. It'll pull HARD at 70+ MPH esspecially. (I would know,...trying to play catch up to a Z33 in a 55MPH zone=not smart)

EDIT:My brothers SUV is limited at 99mph,LMAO. He tried to race another truck on the highway and we got to about 98 and the engine started acting like it was on its rev limiter ( you know what I'm talking about,the MIING miing MIING flux in RPM's thing) he was so pissed,lol.BTW:Hes got C-F taillights,and clear front turn signals from APC...its the hOtnEsS y0

120+ I haven't taken it to the rev-limter but I broke the needle in my old mustang after I pinned it to the floor of the gauge cluster and I didn't want to do the same in the 240.

So, after the needle hit the bottom of the cluster I let off to ~120. made it from Jax to daytona in 35mins.

135 in my s13 with the redtop. I felt like it could have kept going too, but I was nearing an area that is notorious for speed traps. Dumbest thing ever. But sometimes I'm dim witted like that.

The fastest I've ever gone before was in a fully built camaro on an air strip and it shook like crazy. I was scared for my life. We hit 170 and because of the vibration I was screaming like a 3 year old. So scary. I was a passenger with a guy who offered a ride to a random spectator (me.) I would not volunteer again. I was 13 or 14. And afterwards I thought I would be deaf. It was so loud.

I can't take credit for it personally but my friends did it. I was sitting shotgun. Coming out of San Francisco on 101 South passing Candlestick Park. 93 Cobra with bulit engine & road race suspension from Griggs Racing.

We hit redline in 5th gear and then some(300 rpms past redline). I figured through the gearing and tire size we were going about 175 :rawk: with no seatbelts :rawk:
