Quick waterpump question

I have two waterpumps for my S13 SR20DET and I'm not sure which one to use. Reason being, one spins very freely and easily without any friction, and the other spins a little more tightly with more friction. Are one of them bad? Thanks.

Wont really know till you put them on and they start leaking out of the weep hole.

Uhhhhh where did you get these from? Are they oem? Are they new?

brand new ones usually have a little bit of resistance...and by that i mean smoothly spinning. if it feels rough or feels like its grinding internally that would be a trash water pump

The one that spins freely must be a used pump but if it has no play and feels like it spins smoothly as well then it would mean it is ok too.

but like flip said... either could pee outta their weep hole which would indicate a bad w/p
