Selling my 2004 Nissan 350z touring with 86,xxx miles.
Car has given me NO problems since ive owed it ( bought with 60k on odo)

Motor : VQ35DE
Jwt popcharger
Jwt 14pound light weight flywheel (1500miles on it)
Jwt Clutch and pressure plate ( 1500 miles on it)|
New Oem throw out bearing.
New Oem Radiator fans.

Transmission:
Shifts like butter
The transmission has new fluid in it from nissan.
The one downside about the JWT lightweight flywheel is that it makes the 350z 6 speed tranny sound like a dogbox when at low rpms and chatters when at idle with clutch out. Nothing drastic or wrong with anything.

Diff has new fluid as well

Body:
Paint is in amazing condition for a car from 2004
The front bumper does have some chips on it from the highway driving i do mostly.
Nissan OEM LED fairlady Z tailights
Clear corner reflectors up front.

Interior:
Tan leather interior with heated seats electric reclining ( all buttons work)
The drivers seat has some wear from me getting in and out )
Carpet was pressure washed cleaned few months ago, looks brand new.
Stock Bose radio and Bose speakers all around.
Steering wheel is in good condition. Not cracked.

Tires :
Brand new Falken 912s
Front 225/40/18
Rear: 245/40/18
Downside about wheels is that the idiot who mounted all my tires scratched them all on the machine and did nothing about it :ssex:

I am sorry but light weight flywheels do not make transmissions noisy our sound like a dog box you must have another issue with the car

If you bothered to do any research or knew anything about clutches and flywheels you wouldn't be replying.

The stock nissan flywheel is a dual mass 28pound unit, do you even know what dual mass flywheel is? probably not.
The dual mass flywheel dampens the uneven pulses of the v6 motor at low rpms which cause the transmission to Produce a chatter noise when the gear oil is warmed up because its thinner.
Well the jwt unit is 14pounds and a solid Flywheel, so therefore it sends the uneven pulses straight to the transmission which cause the transmission to Produce a chatter noise when the gear oil is warmed up because its thinner.
have a nice day

not to mention you can google " 350z jwt flywheel chatter" and get more threads then you can count on this.

I'm sorry i guess being a Certified Master Tech doesn't mean anything around the forums bottom line is there are thousands of cars out there without dual mass flywheels they do not make any noise

and yes I know what a bual mass flywheel is and how they work stop being stupid and trying to sell broke shit as if it was good

maybe if you knew about the 350z tranny youd know this happens to every single z that gets the dual mass unit replaced with a solid one.

|you need to understand WHY a trans will "chatter", the clutch doesn't chatter with a LWFW, it's the gears in the gearbox that you are hearing.
With a heavy flywheel, there is enough inertia to eliminate the gear lash, because there is always a positive force on thee gears holding them tight against eachother.

With a LWFW, there is not enough inertia, and what you are hearing is the frequency of the pulses of the cylinders firing, and each time one fires, it pushes the crank, the crank turns the flywheel, then the input shaft and connected gears.

Think about 2 gears together, there is a little bit pf space between the teeth of the meshing gears, this space allows a little play, "lash", and the gears will "tap" whenever a force is applied.

SO, long story short, a lightweight flywheel, which doesn't have the inertia of a heavy flywheel, will not turn at a constant speed, and therefore the "play" in the gears allows them to slop around a bit.
But with a heavy flywheel, the inertia keeps it moving at a constant rate, even between cylinder firing, and therefore there is always a positive force against the gears, keeping them in contact with eachother.

Blah blah blah noise from gear lash is totally different than what straight cut gears ie dog box sounds like you need to work on your terminology because a whiney trans is different than a clattery one bottom line dual mass flywheels were not designed to fix trans noise they are too make the car fell different to the driver usually to give the car the feeling of more torque on the bottom end

My mistake I should have been more clear on the actually noise. The dogbox transmission ive drove before made the chatter sound in a way along with the gear whine(miata in garage), the z DOES NOT make a gear whine, just the chatter noise which is 100% normal with the jwt flywheel.
