It is not junkyard 4.8... But I get what your saying... The body does need some work and if anyone knows what there doing te turbo is easy to rebuild. I'll admit the car would sell faster if he would just do that..

It's a generic term. I had an aluminum 5.3 s14 and it was just called a junkyard motor. Not meaning to say anything bad.
It's a blown turbo, I would buy a new one. I would also spend 3k or more in paint and body work to have it back to a decent looking car.
Then a tune.
Then a T56 in the future.
It's just a friendly offer. If he doesn't like it, he will simply say no.

How about a trade? Got a 91 gsx eclipse with fully built motor. Gutted rear interior. Running a FP t4z hta 88 on a twin scroll mani. Way to much stuff to type up but I got more than 15k$ in receipts. Easily capable of 800 hp with c16. TRE built tranny as well. It's bored .40 over with hks stg 3 cams. Only been beat once and it was a boosted lsx trans am.
