flame suit on??....i hate to say it but out of all the ballers who wanna be rappers, he was the best one in my opinion. actually hes not even that bad. i remember him spittin some decent rhymes....oh i jsut heard recently that hes trying to battle this other rapper Skillz (?), in defense of kobe.

Get that flame suit ready, because Allen Iverson is better on the mic than Shaq, while his rhymes stuck more to what other rappers at the time were saying and his lyrics were taken as "homophobic" and "deplorable" so his album was shelved before it came out... Chris Webber was damn good with the mic too, and he released an album (pictured above) and unfortunately it didn't sell well, because Shaq already had the rest of the league written off as bullshit "basketball rappers," never to gain the necessary respect in the music industry... Hell, Kobe even had plans on releasing an album and wasn't too bad, he was featured in a couple R&B songs and had recorded a few songs I heard on mixtapes. One in particular featured Beanie Sigel and Blackthought of the roots, both of whom are also from Philly. Rhymes weren't bad, but my issue with Kobe on the mic is that he grew up in an upper middle class family - his pops played in the NBA and various overseas leagues - but he spoke a lot on the contrived thug/gun talk bullshit that one would speak if they are trying to get a hip hop record deal just to have one...
... I read that about Shaq dissing Skillz this morning on hiphopsite.com and it seems that Skills will roast him as he has so many others just for behaving like a bigass dummy in this case.

i never heard any of AI's songs. i did hear one of kobe's, the one with tyra banks singing the chorus....maybe shaq is tryin to get back into rapping cuz he knows theyre not gonna win this year, and maybe never again :cry: :cry: :cry: .....damn u pistons!
