MODIFIED KNUCKLE INSTALLATION 240SX SILVER MINE MOTORS EVAN VHADAT - YouTube (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FmfN7CWwy9g)

Description:
High angle knuckles for your 240sx. These knuckles allow you to turn your wheels to the maximum angle without over centering your tie rods. After months of test fabrication and research and development we at Silver mine Motors have come up with the winning formula! These knuckles have been tested and proven at drift events, and on our shop car. They will allow you to turn your front wheels much farther than any other modified knuckle. Drop tie rod pickups move your tie rod angle lower so they are more parallel to your lower control arms. Shortened tie rod arms make for faster responsiveness to slight movements of the steering wheel, as well as turning your wheels to an angle you never though possible! Months of testing ensures that these knuckles are modified so that they will not over center during full lock turns. Mig welded 3 times over by our certified professional automotive welder with 25 years’ experience in fabrication! Cleaned and painted with thick high gloss paint. Note: you will need to use longer inner and out tie rods with these knuckles. We recommend 1998 240sx S14 inner and 1989-1990 Nissan Maxima outer tie rods. Installation takes only 2 hours. Silver Mine Motors does not take any responsibility for any accidents/ losses caused by or in conjunction with these parts, or any other race parts we sell. Buyer assumes all risk when operating a vehicle with modified parts.

OK we have five people for the group buy. I have setup a listing on our website for $135 plus cores, or core fee. If you want to send your cores in after you install the modified knuckles then pay the core fee and we'll refund you after we receive your cores. If you don't want to pay the core fee then order at $135 and we will ship out your modified knuckles once we receive your cores.
Here is the link to the listing. It will only be active for 2 days, so everyone has to order today or tomorrow. We can't start shipping anything until all five of you order.

I have S14 knuckles on my S13 - which option should I pick? What tie rods are recommended with these knuckles?

Silver Mine Motors
02-25-2014, 09:40 AM
If you have S14 knuckles then I'm assuming you have S14 hubs as well. In that case I would choose S14.
we recommend S14 inner tie rods and 89-90 Nissan Maxima outer tie rods. or Tein inner with SPL outers.

we can meet in Reseda ca. 91335 for local pickup just call me to setup a time. Also there has to be 4 other people in the group buy before I can send out any knuckles.

There is a no label I can send you. You would just have to send them to me, just ask me for the address once you place your order.

You will get more angle than with stock tie rods, but if you get the s14 inners you will get even more angle. If you remove/ modify the bump stop then you will get even more angle. The more you do, the more angle you will get. But yes you can start with the maxima outers, and go from there.

we have 3 people paid so far. Just 2 more to go.
We have our sponsored driver Evan using our knuckles and extended lower control arms for a while now. We have been doing all our testing with him. He Is Very happy with the angle and feeling of the steering. He says It is much easier getting the car sideways after these modifications.

Is it possible to recieve back the same core that is sent in? I only ask because I would be sending in Kouki 180sx knuckles that have the ABS sensors and rings. And would need the same knuckles back.

Silver Mine Motors
02-27-2014, 07:59 PM
Yes that's not a problem it would just take 2 days longer. I have some knuckles with abs sensor holes in them, they might be the same but well check once I see yours.

I think you should ask a mod to change the title of the thread.

Put the name of your shop and fix 'angel' to 'angle'

It's really distracting and hard to take you seriously as a company.

do these just move the tie rod mount point in?

Silver Mine Motors
03-03-2014, 03:47 PM
yes they are shorter and moved down so your tie rods are more parallel
.

Silver Mine Motors

No there is no shipping label. Best way is to use a usps flat rate medium size box for $12.

We are almost done testing out the extended lower control arms, and modified high angle cross member. I'll post pictures in a week when they are ready to be shown.

Silver Mine Motors
04-01-2014, 07:30 PM
Hey guys we started selling the modified crossmember/ steering rack, Price is $150, plus cores.
These high angle steering racks will move your steering rack and tie rods forward 1” (25MM). This allows you to have even more angle without over centering. Bump stops have to be cut off and possible LAC notching is recommended if you want to take advantage of the full angle potential of this part.

Let me know if you have any other questions!
