I have a 95 with a rebuilt ka. I've barely put 1k miles on it. While on my way home from work I saw steam coming from my hood an noticed the temp gauge was all the way hot. I pulled over and noticed my ac tensioner pulley came off (this was while driving on the highway). Somehow taking my other belts off too. I don't know what happened that pulley must not have been tight enough. My alternator belt went missing and I was able to get my water pump belt on and barely make it home with my battery almost dying. I put a new alt belt on. Drove around for a bit and it's still over heating. I did take the upper hose off to change the belt. So I thought maybe I need to bleed it some. Did that with the heater on high and still same result. Heater works fine. Top hose is really hot bottom hose feels cold. Both hoses have pressure. It has a new water pump, nismo thermostat, nismo rad cap. Oem rad with 200k+ miles no leaks. I'm lost. Any suggestions? Could the new nismo thermo be bad somehow? I've searched a lot of threads on here. I thought nismo stick open not closed like oem? Well that's what I read in here anyways.

Coworker says HG. Could that still happen even with a new felpro and arps?? I didn't see coolant in my oil or oil in my coolant. Going to do more test later today..

Yup most likely the headgasket. Easiest way to check is have someone crank the car with the radiator cap off. If you see the coolant flying out of the radiator when the car is cranking, you have pressure in the system from the motor. IE bad gasket.

I think I did see that when I was bleeding it. FML.
