Well, I am changing the direction I'm going with my car so it looks like I will be selling my RB26. I purchased it from McKinney Motorsports at the beginning of the year and they have been nice enough to hold it for me until I was going to be able to get out there. But now that plan is a no-go. So, I have one week while McKinney is in Houston for a race-event to see if I can find a new home for her before McKinney gets back to the shop to ship it. If I don't find anyone serious by next week then I will have it shipped to me and then I will most likely put it on eBay because I think it would demand a much higher premium on there because people tend to pay more than what things are worth typically. So, I'm offering it on some of the 240 forums first because you guys have given me a lot of useful info over the course of my build so I wanted to give you guys first dibs.

-R32 (late model R32 according to McKinney) RB26 in GREAT condition (it is from McKinney, so you know the quality)
-No Computer or wiring harness (I was planning to go stand-alone... as I'm sure many would who are going rb26). If you need a wiring harness and/or computer I know McKinney can get them but that will be up to you.
-Comes with an RB25 tranny

My asking price is $6500 plus shipping (shipping should run $400-600 depending on your location). It would be shipped directly from McKinney.

RB26s are going for around $5500 in decent condition right now, and the tranny is going for $800-1400 ...if you can find one. So, I think $6500 is a reasonable price to ask. I will accept any SERIOUS offers, but I am pretty firm with this price. No trades, and no I will not seperate the motor from the trans... it is a package deal.

I do have a couple of crappy pics of the motor... I was in Cali for the D1 event (McKinney actually invited me and Underground Motorsports out for the event) and we went by his shop and I did take a couple pics of my motor sitting there... but it was in the corner under a large shelf so it was hard to get a good picture... but I do have some if anyone is interested in those as well.

I know I may look like a noob cause I have not posted here much... but I think that anyone that has been around forums long enough should know that a post count has little to do with how much you know or what you've done. Some of you who may be interested might need some type of a reference to know that I'm not just some scammer or something. I have done quite a bit of work with Underground Motorsports so anyone who is SERIOUS about this motor and needs some type of reference for either myself or the motor can contact Chris at Underground Motorsports about that.

Other than that, please email me with any questions.

Just a little advice... 6500 is way too high also considering it has no ecu, no harness, no awd tranny to sell off, and added shipping. That would put the total price right at or more than $7000 for the complete package shipped. I could get two Rb25's shipped to my door... for that price

I believe comparing an RB25 to a RB26 is comparing apples to oranges.... You might be able to get an RB25 cheaper, but I am actually low-balling on the average price an RB26 commands. If you want an RB25 that's fine... but I'll see you at the finish line ;)

....and like I said, I'm open to *reasonable* offers.

Actually I already have a 25 that I got for $3000 shipped. Just FYI there is someone selling an R33 rb26 with awd trans, harness and ecu for $3000 right now, but I won't tell where. Anyways good luck selling your 26, its one helluva motor

And remember, even if you bought it from MCkinney, doesn't mean anything.

Because they aren't selling it, you are.

True, but for right now its still sitting at their place and would be shipped from them.... so its not like I bought it from them and have messed with it and now I'm trying to get rid of it :) ...that's the only reason I'm emphasizing that point.

anotherblusi,
If there is someone selling an RB26 that cheap, then why didn't you buy that?

rb26 should be that much, IMO. coming from mckinney doesn't mean anything, but overpriced.

G/L selling it, although I seriously doubt anybody will give you what you're hoping short of eGay. As said before, McKinney doesn't mean much, there's NO assurance that you can offer that an engine from an AT LEAST ten year old car hasn't been thrashed, no matter who the hell is selling it. But like I said off the bat, G/L.

I guess I should say thanks .... I'm just trying to recoup some of my money here, I don't (and know I want) wanna make a profit off this thing. I just started my pricing with what McKinney said they would charge for it and I'll work from there.

That's cool. I wasn't taking exception to the price, just trying to offer a no BS opinion of your chances of selling it. Put it to auction, make sure you put the words "2 Fast, 2 Furious" in the description, and laugh when some retard buys it for his Honda. ;)

you do know that even with a standalone system you still need the original harness right?

Okay sorry to be an ass but the R32 RB26 is the worse RB26 motor made. I have A GTST skyline. The Rb25 and RB26 are not apples and oranges...its like red and green apples. No one is ever going to push 700 plus rwhp out of their two...traction wont happen...also the AWD tranny is worth nothing in this country unless u got an GTR. I am interested in the motor. I am in so cal...but anything over 3k is way to much. I can get a GTR R33 block tranny ecu, harness and some other shit for like about 3300

There will always be critics. Good luck selling your engine man, I know it is hard. I have too many times before bought something for a price, never used it, sold it, and came out so far behind its embarrasing. If it is truely worth what you ask, then someone will buy it.

if the motor is still sitting at mckinney, and you don't want it, then why don't you just get a refund?
