So I just got a new turbo and it does not have a spot to put a vacuum line on it, and I do not know where to connect the vacuum line that was already once on it. Any help would be great. Thank you.

Ok what turbo did you get and what vacuum line are you talking about? Is your new turbo for an external gate while the old one was internal gate?

I am still pretty new to turbid cars, but I believe they both have internal waste gates. I did have the stock ca turbo and now I have a Isis sr20 t25/t28 replacement.

The hose goes the what I believe is the boost controller solenoid also.

Yeah. Post photos of the old turbo, and where the old vacuum line went, and the new turbo. It sounds like the new turbo is for an external gate.

One of my buddies told me that I can drill and tap a hole on the hot pipe since my new turbo did not come with a nipple. Does that sound right to you guys?

Yup thats what you would have to do. Or drill and tap a nipple on the compressor cover. Theres a spot on it you can tap by the 3 bolt outlet.

there's a nipple under the throttle body, which is :
/free if you don't have a canister
/used if you have a canister (if so, use a 'T' nipple)
connect the actuator at this place.
If you use a BC, connect a hose from this nipple under the TB, to the BC solenoid, cut it and put a 'T', one side goes to the solenoid, the other to the turbo's actuator.
