Paypal/Fatmat

Ok so I think I may have been screwed over. But I'm trying to get the order or a refund anyways. I ordered a 100sq.ft. "fatpak" from www.fatmat.com and they haven't given me a tracking number for a week so I email them asking for it. They send me this.

Hello ***** Paypal has locked up our account and has taken your money. We have tried to go in and refund it back to you, however paypal has made it impossible. Many people are having this problem if you are interested in reading what paypal has been doing to their customers please visit www.paypalsucks.com Not only are they locking peoples accounts up and using the money in the accounts but there are also documented incidents where they are actually abusing the bank information that is put into paypal and drawing out money from their customers bank accounts with no authorization from the customer. Paypal has lawsuits pending and it is only a matter of time before they are shut down.
We have copied and pasted our account balance below so that you can see that paypal is holding your money.

Please contact paypal as soon as possible and let them know that you want your money back.
Just with this account alone you are one of 17 people that has to be bothered with this.
It seems reasonable that when an account is limited paypal does not let us draw the funds out to our bank, however I don't see the logic in making it impossible to refund customers back money that is rightfully theirs.

I started to call the number supplied while looking for a number on the paypal site myself. There was a recording asking for my Name, Phone#, Acct. Num...etc. When it got to the acct # I hung up because I'm not going to give my info to a damn recording with someone listening hitting buttons. When I found the number on the Paypal site it wasn't the same number. :wtf: So I called the number on the paypal site. I got the same damn recording again so I hung up. Now I sent an e-mail to them about that site and my order requesting information on how to get a refund if it's even posible.

Anyone got any helpfull info/advice?

Wow that sucks. I just signed up with paypal too! I haven't verified my account yet though (by checking for small deposits at my bank). Maybe I shouldn't.

I don't know if it's paypal though. The thing that struck me as odd is if you go to www.fatmat.com and look under contact, IIRC, it will say Gem Deals to send in a payment. When I ordered it said "XCell Sporting Goods" for payment. So there are like 3 different things on that site???? I should have payed more attention. I saw an ad for fatmat in a mag and figured "what the hell" and I was going to try it.

Ok, they changed the site again. :wtf: If you go to Fatpak and at it to your cart and look at the cart it says 'Roman Cart' at the top. If you go to Rattle Trap then it's some other cart?

paypal is really fucked up... you should check out that link. paypalsucks.com... alot of people have had problems with them. it sounds like paypal locked up your account, and when fatwhatever tried to get payment they were denied b/c ur account was locked. its virtually impossible to argue anything with paypal... good luck man.

Doh. I don't have an account, I only have a CC on paypal. Maybe that's the problem? In either case I didn't even ask for a refund. I just wanted a tracking number or a comfirmation that my merchandise had been shipped. When I got the e-mail saying that they had tried to refund me I got kinda weirded out.

Paypal has locked our account up do to a customer who used a fraudulent CC. We have tried to get paypal to unlock our account, but we do not get any responses. We have also asked paypal to please refund our customers, yet they do not respond. If you could please get your money back from them that would be great. We have added our own CC processing to our site now. If you place another order once you get your refund we will have that shipped to you ASAP. I am truly sorry for the problems, but honestly we never received your payment in our bank.

ok... based on what you just said i understand now. you REALLY should check out the website they linked to you.... www.paypalsucks.com . paypal has scammed alot of people out of their money in varying ways.

with paypal, when you are selling an item and someone tries to pay you with a fradulent cc, they will lock your account. there is no way to fight this. all the funds that were in the account were seized, so i'm guessing fatmatpakwhatever company lost alot of money. since you had nothing to do with it you should get your money back, but getting money back from paypal is like pulling teeth. good luck finding a phone number... try posting on the paypalsucks.com forums to see if someone can figure out a way to get your money back.
