Amazon.com: 2013 MODEL PIONEER AVH-X1500 DVD / AVHX1500 DVD In-Dash 6.1 Touchscreen: Car Electronics (http://www.amazon.com/PIONEER-AVH-X1500-AVHX1500-In-Dash-Touchscreen/dp/B00A84NIGQ/ref=cm_cd_al_qh_dp_t)

I recently bought a 96 s14. The car doesn't have a stereo. It seems like the previous owner hacked at the wires to disconnect his stereo.

Will that radio fit?

Online i found that i'd need this METRA® 70-7550 - Nissan 240SX 1995-1998 Wiring Harness, For Aftermarket Radio (http://www.carid.com/1996-nissan-240sx-stereo-installation/metra-wiring-harness-4732208.html) and this METRA® 95-7417 - Nissan 240SX 1995-1998 Double DIN Stereo Dash Kit (http://www.carid.com/1996-nissan-240sx-stereo-installation/metra-stereo-dash-kit-4479429.html)

Is it true? (for the guys that have done this before)

My mechanic said he'd need to rewire the whole thing because of the condition the wires are in.

If the factory pigtails are not there, you don't need those harnesses. Just wire them direct.
Orange-battery
Blue-accesory (double check)
Black-ground
Everything else are speakers.
Note* this is without the factory amp. I just did this about 2,days ago. Previous owner cut the pigtails AMD removed factory amp. Its really simple.
