Well I'm looking for a new daily driver to replace my spec v, as well stay in similar performance, but go up a class in luxury and class. (FYI other contenders are the RSX-S, and the IS300 (all used and MT) ) (it'll be driven all year long in winter too)

the S13 and S14 are one of my choices. But I'm trying to see which one is better the S13 or S14.

I'm looking for the SE models, because I want ABS and power everything.

I think I'm leaning towards the S14 because the interior is alot better than the S13s.

What are your opinions? The only problem I have with the S14 is that it's REALLY hard to find in MT. But I like the 240's because I can save the money rather than buying a used RSX-S or IS300 and put money into it right away :)

i'd go with whichever is in better condition and cheaper. they both have their advantages and disadvantages, and in the end it's just a matter of personal preference.

most S13 SE's don't have abs. not sure about S14 SE's. if you want luxury, S14 is the way to go.

i have an s13 and an s14, personally luxury wise the s14 is a pretty pimp car, the s13s definitely more fun to drive, but i love them both equally. they both suck in the winter tho :(

ABS is for pussies ;)

just kiddin. the whole thing is up to preferance. some people dig S14's some of us are hardcore S13 fans. i chose S13 fastback (though the coupe looks just as sexy).

an S14 is prolly gonna be the only thing thats close to a V when it comes to class... the 13's are just soooo much more fun :)

are is300's at the same price as a s14? i thought the is300 would be more luxary. why do you want abs? the s14 is nice but doesnt offer much of backseat and what not. s14 > s13

rsx is wrong wheel drive and that would drive me nuts, but from what others say it is a really nice car.

IS300 is far more expensive than the S14 but a used one still fits in my budget ;) w/o having to finance anything, although I'll have to get rid of my spec.

Backseat? I hardly even use the back seat in my spec cept for quick storage, that's how it'll be with the next car too :)

actually S13's would be more appropriate for a build up or if you simply prefered them (like me). way to generalize. you gonna call us niggers next?

luxury wise:
s14 > s13
is300 > s14

are you planning on modding it? if so , i'd go for the 240, if you're not planning on modding much, go for the is300

But how bout my need for speed :D The IS300 costs MAJOR money that I wont' have any left to make it 'fast' because just bolt ons don't cut it, and starting off expensive isn't helping either.

Unlike the RSX-S which leaves room for bolt ons, which can get it into low-mid 13s N/A :)

Then the S14 which starts off even cheaper, and allows me to add more parts on :)

Another car I was concidering is the WRX, but it's just fugly (the interior esp...)

but I'm leaning towards the S14 (if I can find one in good condition)

I can't afford the G35, evo, s2k, or the mazdaspeed miata...

a Used WRX I can...but I think it's just too damned ugly on the inside :(

you got money? get a s13 shell for a grand or so and bam, lots of leftover money for an SR or KA-T, suspension, wheels, interior, and exterior mods if you're not going for the sleeper look.

i would go s14 but i am biased. if it had to be new and budget i would go srt-4 or 350z.

I would take the S14....but good luck finding one that is 5spd with ABS & LSD. Since you mentioned driving in the snow....I would get the WRX.

I just looked at your local and realized your from Canada. So...that means your looking for a LE...not an SE. Because...

CN SE = US Base
CN LE = US SE

get what I mean?

S14 is considerably more rigid than an S13, but both respond well to mods. . if you want all out STOCK performance, you need an S13 with HICAS (.95 g on skidpad as opposed to .88 with SE / LE S14 or SE / LE (non hicas) S13.

I had a 92 with hicas, and I have a 97 now. . I love both :o
