acceleration/idling problem

Car runs fine but when left to idle /driving in traffic it will bounce on 2000rpm before I had to cut of the engine for 5sec and restart and return to normal. Recently it only keep bouncing in 1st gear nd when placed in second it bounces for 1-3 times and break free (return to normal)

by "bounce" do you mean idle surge?

No it's only noticeable when you press the gas and the rpm begin to rise
