i'm having a block tanked magnafluxed and bored.

I'm going to be putting a different crank in than cam out. Does this mean that i need to have it line bored, and put in different bearings?

what else do i need to do (not a heap of money to spend - ie no O-ringing or anything)

also, does a bore job assume that they will cross hatch the cylinders?

TIA

If you take the measurements and they are in spec you should be fine on them. If the bearings show any wear at all you should probably just replace them.

"I'm going to be putting a different crank in than cam out." can you say that again? cross hatching is part of the boreing process? so it should be done

the crank that i got with the block was damaged, so i am putting a different one in (it should be identical)

what i was wondering, was if there are different sizes of bearings to take up manufacturing tolerances (like the valve shim differences)

When you get the new crank take measurements and see if you need new bearings.
