Hi, on other sites they have two models for sr, one that will fit z32 maf and the other one for stock maf, do you offer such combinations.

the intake i think will bolt onto the 300zx maf but unfortunately i had a different intake first and couldnt get the adapter to just 3" pipe and cut my maf flange off

why would u need a replacement filter?
isnt this supposed to be a end all maintenance filter that you only run like under water to clean and its like a lifetime thing?
or is this just like OEM filters that you throw out after X number kms/miles?

these filters shouldn't be cleaned with water. a'pexi hasn't released a lot of information on how to clean these filters, and people usually throw them away when they are really dirty (30,000 miles or so). Theres no "oil" kit to use because these filters do not use oil for filtration.

well to my understanding this was the end all cleaning filter that you could dry clean so you didnt have to buy a new filter, essentially a K&N minus the oils. And something more like that Blitz SS filter that you just wash with water and then re use.

do you mind contacting apexi in regards for these details since you must have a good deal going on with them to offer below sale prices etc.

Let's say I buy the system for the KA.... can I still use the filter for an s14sr when I swap later on down the road? The ka kit looks like theres an adapter thing to connect it to the MAF... is there the same adapter for the Sr kits or z32 MAF aswell? can you order that seprately?

twisted_240 - i'll ask. i understand your concern. Apexi offers replacement filters because these filters do get dirty, and some prefer to get new ones. just like how some people get new k&n filters instead of cleaning them.

hawd - the filters are interchangable w/ any apexi intake system. If you navigate to our site, you can look up to see a pic of the 300zx kit. The 300zx kit does not have an adapter like the KA and SR ones. It's hard to explain exactly, but you will need some kind of maf bolt pattern design to use the intake filter (which the 300zx already has). the metallic pipes are available (universal pieces).

is the z32 filter bigger then the ka filter? im guessing i couldnt use a cheap 3.99 ebay filter adaptor with this filter or could i? either with the z32 or the ka one

all the filters are the same size. take a look at the filter in the pic above though, it's not your average filter that straps onto a pipe. apexi made it hard for people to use their filter w/o buying their mounting flange. But the z32 is able to have it bolt up w/o, theres some additional hardware to it, but for hte most part, no mounting flange.

I talked to apexi. They do not recommend blow drying the intake to clean it as it can ruin the filter. Either its true, or its a cover up to get yout o buy a replacement.
