I got my sr started today, but I have a problem. The clutch or flywheel is squealing and smoke is coming out of the bell housing. I replaced the flywheel and clutch and throwout bearing before installing the engine. The clutch seems to work fine and it shift fine.Please help???????

did u get grease on the mating surface, dont know if that would be the cause but it would seem like it could be.

yeah I greased everything, it didnt smell like my clutch burning and didn't smell like oil or fluid, it just squealed loud and smoked, everything works fine beside those

The tranny shakes sometimes. same as sometimes noise stops when the clutch is in or out? I have no idea, I guess I have to take off the tranny again.

I started the car this morning and the squealing and smoking wasn't there until it warmed up. Does anyone know why this is happening?

could be it the starter stuck on?

I was asking if you got grease on where the flywheel meets the clutch surface.

I dont think,if that was the case wouldn't the clutch slip?

yah it probably would, I forgot about the part where u said it works fine. I have no clue what it could be.
