Tired of coming back from the Junkyard empty-handed... where to buy...

I just went to the junkyard and after telling the guy I needed the plastic from a cluster, I spent 40 minutes in a 240 which I had to get into from the broken rear window. It was infested with mosquitoes, and nasty as hell...

anywho.. I got the pastic cover and he then proceeds to tell me that I might as well get the entire cluster because he's going to charge me full price... I didn't get it... $35 for a piece of plastic... I think not...

So my question is... where can I buy just the clear plastic cluster cover??? (the dealership wants $50 just for the cover :loco: :loco: :loco: )

well check ebay, also check for sale section or wanted to buy section, im sure somebody might have one for you.

also think about it from their point of view. is anybody going to want a cluster with out the plastic, probably not, so by you taking a very cheap part, that will make the cluster undesirable to anybody else. like if u need one shoe cause u stepped in shit, is Al Bundy gonna sell you one shoe, no he will sell both. but yah I might be going to the yard in a few days ill check for ya.

Well I told him what I needed, and I was specific too... he told me to go ahead and go get it...

I tried the two junkyards that I know of, including the one I usually go to (I know they'll only sell the cluster at that one).

But yeah if anyone has one they'll sell me, I'd be glad to buy it from you, as long as the plastic isn't broken and doesn't have any spots on it.

Stealing from a bunch of loonies w guns most likely at a junk yard is not a good idea, stealing in general is not a good Idea. I stole from a junk yard once and my mom made me go back and return the foglights. not good.
