So I picked up the rawbrokerage oil filter stud adapter to put the filter directly to the block and ultimately add an oil cooler and relocation kit. I recently read a thread on DW about a pressure release valve built into the factory oil adapter housing. My question is if I'm just putting the oil filter directly to the block do any oil filters have this built in? Thanks

The oil pressure release valve is built into the oil pump. I did this mod a year ago with an oil filter relocation kit and Trust oil cooler.

The oil block is actually for warming oil up during cold starts. But once the oil is hot, I'm sure it has the opposite effect. Make sure you get a thermostat controlled adapter that allows oil to flow to the cooler only when up to right temps. They have thermostat built into adapters or just a separate thermostat block that goes inline into your system. I do suspect that oil cooler will greatly help with the RB cooling woes that every one has since the heat of the oil doesn't get dumped back into the cooling system.

Good, i was kinda wondering about this as well. I also read that most filters nowadays have a bypass and an anti-drainback valve Built in. I used an l28 stud and an earls thermostatic sandwish plate

Cool thanks guys. Looks like I'll be running the filter directly on the block for the first event :/
