I am in the market for some coilovers. i wanted to keep it as close to 1k as possible, so i was planning on getting tein HE's (1180 shipped) brand new. then i ran across some Zeal Function v6's that have been used for 8k kms that are going for 1000+ shipping, and from the seller they are in perfect condition and should have the 8/7 springrates, not the 5/6. i was searching around about the zeal functions and all i could find on their site was what they included and the price, and not much else. Does anyone have these coilovers? if so, how are they? any info on them would be great.. like their overall quality and comparison to Tein's HE's. I use my car as a daily drive, but i don't mind the stiffness. i also autocross it. thanks for the help.

The Zeal's are Stiff. Good for the track but watch out for ruff roads. Some people even think the HE's are too much. I have the Type FLEX, has the same rate as the HE with different damping.

I would stick with the HE's if your on the street everyday.

i am on the street daily, however the roads and highways around here are all new (newish neighborhood, and they just finished construction on the highway) so i think im in good shape. my friend has an fc with ground controls and koni's and he thinks its too stiff... i don't really notice it until he goes over a huge bump at excessive speed

FLEX has 6/5 rates for S14 and HE has 8/6 rates. Just pointing it out. Damping definitely is different. FLEXs have been the smoothest coilovers I've ridden on so far (but I don't have a lot to compare to).

ok guys...
we work directly with endless usa...

First things first..
The B2 coilovers are not being made at this time anymore. They are special order and 5 per order per vehicle at one time. Also the v6/b6/function d's are very streetable. They are actually more comfortable than the tein he's and the tein ha's or the jic flta2's. Honestly... Spring rates no not mean that the coilover will ride stiff. The main characteristics is how the dampening is set up. And whether the company that produces the product have done enough research and development or not.

They can be as stiff or non stiff as you want them to be.

I have the V6's on my car with the 8/7 spring rates, and stiff is an understatement. I drive around with them on 2F/1R damping level so my organs dont burst. They are streetable, but by no means comfortable on rough roads. With them turned all the way up to 6, I can stand in the door sill and bounce the car but the only thing that budges is the sidewall on the tires ;) They are great at 100+mph on the highway... the car feels very stable. Great purchase for only $1000 + shipping. I paid over $2g for the set on my car. Enjoy! here are some pix of my setup...
