i need to replace my steering wheel but i don't want to loose my cruise control. i could just get a new S13 wheel, but that's boring. if i'm going to change it, i might as well get something different. i know some of the JDM wheels are pretty cool, like the S15 wheel, but i have yet to see one with cruise.

did any japanese (or australian) cars have cruise control?
is the zenki/chuuki 180sx wheel the same as ours?

ideas i'm curious about
180sx, not kouki, it looks like a sentra wheel.
300zx, the '90 wheel looks just like the S13 wheel, i guess it would fit
skyline, i've heard R32 fits, what about the others?

i would like something leather wrapped, and if it has red stiching like the S15 wheel, that would be cool. i've looked for pics but not many people show off a stock steering wheel. feel free to post what you got.

Non-airbag 180SXs and S13 Silvias had the same wheel as the S13 240SX. They had the cruise option, but, they had your steering wheel anyway.

The Z32 non-airbag wheel is pretty much the same as an S13 wheel also. I'm not sure it would fit, either.

The R32 and early R33 non-airbag wheel fits, I don't think those cars had the cruise buttons on the wheel though.

I've seen an aftermarket steering wheel install either here or on freshalloy where the cruise control was wired up to three push button switches mounted on the column. That's all there is to the wheel controls, just three buttons.

You don't even really need three buttons either. On my car there are 'on' and 'off' switches for the CC already in the dash, so you'd really only need one switch to replace the 'set' button, unless you really want the 'accel' button too.

i've seen that re-wire job, i thought about doing that. but i was wondering if there were other options. what about other USDM cars, like the maxima or something. are any of those worth while?
