Yes $7,000 plus shipping, plus the cluster ($250), plus the seats ($800), plus STi rear brembos ($250), plus R180 rear diff ($400), plus STi axles front and rear ($400), plus Sti hubs ($400), plus Sti suspension ($400). This is about $11,200 and then you still need to buy a rust free shell to swap everything into which will most likely cost you around $8-10k. Then you have to either pay someone to do all of the work which I see people drop around $10,000 for the labor to be done, and you're still without a car for a long time.

This is by far the best bet to go with. Building one which almost every Subaru owner wants to do or is in the middle of doing will cost you around $20-30k total after all of the BS such as alignment, resurfacing rotors, fluids, tuning, misc stuff that will need to be purchased because they were broken such as sensors, bushings, clips. You will also want to paint the car after the Sti front end swap because the clips are in poor exterior condition with dents and scrapes through the paint. Keep in mind a rhd swap will need a decent amount of fab work, everything on the firewall uninstalled, then painted after welded for the rhd swap.

I know this because I've had 23 Subaru's, been there done that. I deal with subarus everyday and hear of others everyday.

I don't think so...the Subaru community is huge and a similar US sti would be priced around the same with a few "jdm" parts and mileage.....only to have the US version blow up every chance it got...
