Hello, I hope I'm not breaking any rules here. I posted this here since It's kinda in the nissan family :)

anyways, there's a 2003 Infinity G35 coupe 6 speed @ work for sale for $6600 (tax & license included) Would you pay this much for this car and is there any profit to be made?

** car is a trade in, will not be sold in our lot.. most likely be wholesaled**

clean body
clean interior
clean title

only con I can see is the fact that It has 167,000 miles.

so question is, is 6600 reasonable and would there be any profit to be made i it's a good deal?

Doesn't your dealer give you access to laser appraiser/karpower or anything like that? That would tell you everything you need to know.
It could be a home run depending what you need to fix.
I would buy it, find stock brembo brakes & sell it.

I'm a car dealer and no I wouldn't pay that much for it.

I was at Manheim last Thursday and saw a similar one sell for around 5500, keep it mind it had no paint work and a clean Carfax. If you have access to a paint meter, go around the car and see if it has any prior paint work. Six grand might be worth it though, for you.

If it went for 5,500 in New York at Manheim (if thats where you went) dont you think in so cal it would be a higher price? You know cars from socal always bring more, & although 6600 is a bit high just have your work safety the car and get a report on it, could have a few hundred in profit for you.

Lancaster actually. Didn't see his location, might have been a few hundreds bucks at most.

6,600 sounds too good to be true in my opinion

How can an individual get in on "wholesale" priced like this?
Not trying to steer off topic, just wondering.

You have to become a dealer. OVE.com has really good prices for cars as well, but again you need to be a car dealer to access it.

In the second picture, is the hood not closed or was the car involved in some sort of accident?

6600 is pretty good my friend picked up a 350z three years ago for around 7500 built it into a VG35TT and then parted it out because he didnt like how it went sideways. But in a dealer aspect you could prolly find one cheaper for auction in chicago.

I popped the hood, No damage. Its a really nice car... I'm still debating if I could make decent money out of it. It's going to be tough sitting on 6 grand for a while. And selling it would be another hassle.

I agree it's beautiful, but I think my boss already signed it over... Ill find out tomorrow.

Most dealerships use KBB to value a car when trading them in - that price of 6,600 is a good price for an "employee discount" wholesaler probably would end up paying a little/alot less than that depending on how much they took it in for

Kelley Blue Book (http://www.kbb.com/infiniti/g/2003-infiniti-g/g35-sport-coupe-2d/?condition=good&vehicleid=2557&intent=buy-used&mileage=167000&category=coupe&val=a&ref=http%3a%2f%2fwww.kbb.com%2finfiniti%2fg%2f2003-infiniti-g%2fstyles%2f&pricetype=retail)

^^ that is what the dealer would show you if you were a customer coming in - seems the price is good but remember cars value always goes down as the years pass so it depends how long you're keeping it for but that is a damn good price and if you were thinking of financing that/paying cash i would take it in a heartbeat if i had the funds.

Lot of miles... my G is only at 118k and has pretty much all the common issues

what people aren't considering is the fact that manheim auctions have several different lines they run. This car is most likely "has damage" according to it's description but their definition of "has damage" can mean something as minor as a key scratch or it could be a hole of rust or a bent control arm. Their descriptions are vague.

Usually manheim auction cars are decent and priced excellent! :)

we have gotten a 03 m3 6spd, 05 g35 6spd, and a 10 335I all were good and no problems and all came from manheim in ATL.

So the big question is, how much profit is in it if I get it for, 6700

I wouldn't think you'd have any issue selling it for $8k provided there is nothing wrong with it. Check it out though. I would rather not tie up 6 grand to only make ~$1300 ish. If you could do it quick it might be worth it. My $.02

Not much profit there. If you can get the hood flush for free may be worth it. just sold a clean one with 115k miles and oem lip kit For 7500
