need some help with this s14. my cousin picked it up cheap from a elderly couple who had it sitting for atleast a year. driving it home the radiator had a sealed crack that didnt hold and it blew so we towed it home my question is the car should still start even with a blown radiator it should just over heat really fast but the car wont start? it turns over... check the spark plugs and replaced them. funny thing is when i crank the engine the water just shoots out of the crack if im not mistaken the radiator should not have that much pressure should it?

Update radiator fixed
Fuel pump good
Car turns over but won't start
No spark to one cyl.

Most cooling systems see about 16psi at most. It doesn't seem like a lot of pressure but if you open the cap at full temp and pressure you'll change your perspective on it in a heartbeat lol.
With a coolant leak or blown water pump belt I wouldn't run the engine for more then a couple minutes.

yea i really just want it to turn on to get it up my drive way :( didnt want to replace the radiatior on the side of the street. and pushing the car up a decent incline didnt seem fun either.

right now im just thinking that even after the radiator is replaced its not going to turn on.
peaked inside the head and didnt see coolant in the combustion chamber or inside the coolant tank or oil pan. so im not thinking blown headgasket either.

Oh yeah you'll have enough time to get it up the driveway. After starting it I would shut it down within 5 minutes and you should be fine. Did you check for fuel and spark? There has to be another reason it's not starting

radiator is fixed
fuel pump and filter are good

means its has to be something in the ignition part checking it tonight didnt have a second person to help me crank the car right now.

Update
Checked for spark cyl.4 has no spark when tested.
Debating to remove distributor and having it checked at the parts store or just replacing the wires and rotor cap.
Input anyone?
