up for sale is my 370z long block that i got from my dealership. Short block has 5000 miles brand new from factory. Cylinder heads have 55k miles.

Dealership stated that it is burning oil.

Long block does not come with any accessories.

It is a great project build for some of you.

Here are some of the things that i believe MIGHT be causing the oil burning.

1. piston rings might be bad
2. leaky valve seals
It might be something as simple as gasket leaks, but Dealership went ahead and repaced the customer with a brand new LONG BLOCK (sigh). So i took this long block home to find out what it is.

I would tear this apart to find out what it is but i don't have the time on my hands to do so.

So here i am selling it. I am looking to get 2000 Cash pick up.

240 595 8150 if you have any questions.

Just fyi, its almost always the rings in these motors. I've replaced my share of them, a quick hone and a set of rings and should be right as rain. Free bump for you though, I used to take them home all the time myself lol.

Idk what dealership you work at but id get fired super-quick for taking a long block home, every engine/trans i've replaced under warranty has REQUIRED the original PFP be sent back in for inspection. You basically got a 2k bonus?

warranty never claimed it. So, basically the block is trashed.

Wow. You guys have it made. The parts nazis currently have 4 warranty longblocks and 3 warranty CVTs sitting in my bays. Been sitting there for over a month. If i took one home im sure THATS when they would start caring about them.

Yeah they never claimed the block. So my manager said it's trash; therefore, i said i'll take it home.

I don't have the time to open it up. This is great for someone who wants a good 370z motors....just need to replace the rings.
