WOW, So it has been a long time comming you guys/girls of zilvia. I bought the ca18det clip back in march and im just getting arround to finnishing the project. First off i sold my sil80 about 4 months ago and picked up a 1993 white 240sx SE coupe NON sunroof, what a rare find:) here are some pics below.

those are just some random shots i took for the thread. Anyhow like i said its been a while but progress is a slow process so here is whats been done to the motor so farr.

MILD rebuild CONSISTING of;
-headgstket
-timing belt
-water pump
-intake/exhasut mani gastkets
-thermostat
-ca16de cams w/new seals
-Cam Belt tensioner

Verry basic and nothing fancy. below are some pics of the engine itself and some of the aftermarket things i purchased.

-spec stage 2 clutch
-greddy MX 3" DP
-Nismo Motor Mounts
-BLITZ SS bov w/hot pipe
-resurfaced and lshaved flywheel
-ka24e MAFS

some more things coming soon but for now i kept it simple.

as for right now the transmission is being installed by a few friends in teh garage, so ill take pics in a few. as soon as the motor goes in ill also post pics of that. anyhow updates soon so please come back and view.. thank you

yeah, those are FUTURE plans (ca19det) but as of right now the only thing on my mind is gettin this ka24e out of my shell and into junkyard hell!

1400 from venus auto. but i think they retail there for about 1700 or so. just get a homie thats got an account and there should be no problem in getting one for the same price. MAYBE. so dont quote me on that.

I got my clip for $1200 a couple months back when they were on sale from Venus.

Brandon, you have had that motor for longer than I have had mine and its still not in! Shit, im pulling mine out to replace the turbo and some other things very soon. Hurry the funk up and get that bad boy up and running. Hahahaha

haha, i might do something different with the next motor i purchase, look forward to seeing something new in feb, i will be working on anotehr ca18 head and longblock. staying 1.8. fully balanced bottom end, high lift cams, new turbo, fmic injectors, you know THE WORKS. but ill keep your guys updated when the time comes!

i'm not going to be able to make it, i already notified al about it. i purchased the wrong ca18 water pump and the car will undergo another few weeks downtime for it to come into nissan parts. shitty i know but there will always be another event.

well yeah, i sold the sil80 and bought a car that barely passed smogg, which i mite add took numerous ammounts of trys to achieve that damn certificatre, so yeah here i am now with the motor in. Chris bhar from milpitas did most of the wiring for me, although that fukker repinned half the plugs backwards lol leaving me having to do a lot of it over again but all of the extensions were correct. anyhow car should be up and ruinnin within 2 or 3 weeks, but we'll see what happens then.
