Aight, I've searched all the posts involving the S15's 6MT, and sadly almost all them were asking if you could somehow mate it to the KA. I'm wondering if you can mate the S13/S14 SR20DET up to the S15's 6MT. I know the tranny's costs and benefits/drawbacks, so I'm just wondering about whether or not that's a match up. I know the speedo sensor's in the diff too. Thanks in advance for any help.

Right, and then if it doesn't work I'm out three thousand bucks. OR I could turn to one of the largest sources of 240SX information and hopefully find someone who knows something I don't, thus why I asked the question.

As far as from what ive been told, yes it will bolt up...you already know bout the speed sensor so you'll pretty much need the whole rear and driveshaft. Bell housings all the same. Itll even work with the KA and RB20 but only if you swap bell housings.

Yea, it works. That's why most s15 people grab a s13/s14 5-speed, because it can take more abuse.

Alright, thanks a lot everybody for the input. One more question; does anybody know a site that has the gear ratios the the 5MT and the 6MT? If not, am I right in my understanding that the 6MT is a close-ratio setup? That's the reason I want it really, and no, I'm not planning on making obscene power, running slicks, drifting, or doing 6,000RPM clutch drops, so the durability factor isn't the biggest concern to me. Again, thanks everybody.

Click here (http://www.bengoodger.com/cars/silvia/specs.shtml), then click on sales brochure, that's the brochure for the s15 (New Zeland spec) you'll se the gear ratios in the 5 or 6 page, search arround for the s13/s14 gear ratios it should be pretty easy to find.

You can still have a speedo if you use the ka speed sensor and worm gear. The worm gear needs to be shortened and bored out.... And the ka speed sensor fits into the 6spd with no mods. Just thought i'd let you know.

worm gear dimensions =
.550" lenght
bored to 1.11"

you also need:
2 c-clips .095" thick and 1.030" inside diameter
1 ball bearing .190"

This should make sense once you take your ka and s15 trans apart.

I did this mod about 2 years ago and it works.
The 6 spd has a plate blocking off the hole where the KA speed sensor fits into.

Also, if you need the s15 yoke.... mines is made by PTI part number 1202-26

It can be done, I know of a guy that has it on a 400HP-or-so S13 Redtop in a S13 chassis.

And no I dont know how he made it work.
