My power steering on my ka24de isn't working because i'm missing the joint outlet on the pump, so what I did was get another banjo bolt and bolted the high pressure line straight into the power steering pump bypassing the joint outlet, it doesn't work.. So I was wondering if the joint outlet was a necessary piece for the power steering to function properly.

or anyone know the special bolt design that comes out of the power steering that the banjo part of this part torques down on.

Apparently I looked around and searched, and a lot of people don't know what the joint outlet is, so here is a pic of it.

Im in the same boat. I don't have space to use this bolt. Is it necessary?

Reviving an old post but did you ever get an answer to this? My swap was missing the cast iron piece you've mentioned so i bypassed it with an AN fitting and mine isnt working. Its a restrictor right? Ive torn almost every single piece of the PS system apart to find a problem/solution to the PS to work.

You should be able to find all your answers here. Just remember to use washers. On my setup I needed to use a washer for my AN fitting on the PS pump or it would leak otherwise.
