Is the q45 diff a bolt in diff?

Looking into buying a q45 diff but need help on what else to buy that goes along with it. Was told z32 tt axles are the axles I need but not sure

Please help and lead me into the right direction. Wanting to start buying parts this week

The 97+ q45 uses 5x1 axles like the z32na (and some s14, some j30)... the 90-96 q45 uses 6x1 axles like the z32tt

As I recall the q45 diff housing is the same style mounting as the s14 already, you may have to swap the rear cover but that's it

Using the 6x1 axles will require using the matching q45/tt hubs though

So... 90-96 diffs with tt axles and tt or q45 hubs.

Or.. using the 5x1 axles (z32na/late-q45) with the late-q45 diff

I don't know if those axles work with s-chassis rear hubs though, they might, but I've never tried even though I have a set

The late-q45 hubs have the hub integrated into the upright, they aren't bolt-on like the others, and the parking brake cable tube is as well, so cables aren't interchangeable

Just to make sure I need 2 driver side axles to make this work correctly.

Yea one z32 and one q45, both driver's side

Although GKtech sells axle spacers, so in theory you could use two driver's side z32 axles... but that's probably hard to find
