View Full Version : slightly damaged crank - usable?

i got Kaje's old block and crank. as far as i can tell, the block looks basicaly perfect.

the crank has a little bite out of it where it bound up.

i'm a bit worried about using it again, can y'all take a look and tell me what you think?

Looks a bit scoured so it'll need to be machined regardless. I think you're better off with a whole new crank, to tell the truth.

i don't think u can fix that unless you take it to a special machine shop to weld the journal and then grind it back down, and have the crank fixed where it broke/chipped off.
for the price of that just get a new crank
