During the course of my swap, I pulled my steering column. I left the U-joint attached at the rack.
Now with everything bolted back in place, I have about 1/4" of the "knurled" end sticking out of the u-joint. The rack is bolted tightly to the x-member, the column is bolted to the firewall, the bolts are out of the u-joint...it should fit in further correct?
During the swap, I installed a new aluminum bushing, new rack bushings and depowered the rack...any chance these mods could've caused the change in fit?
Any way to pull them together?
