They're nice but i'd rather have the sunken face look for the front AND the rear. (i.e. 18x9.5 +12 all around....hehe). But anyways, the car and the wheels are still sexy!

Hmm.... makes me want to get some FN01R's for racing, although the rims I'm looking at now are 10.5 in the rear instead of 10. That, and the tires I'm using are slightly wider (275/40/17 front, 315/35/17 rear) :p.
Edit: N/m, 315/35's wont fit a 10 :(

okay, fine, what are the benefits of stretching a tire over getting the proper rim (ya know, one that would actually FIT under the car)? i mean, if you're only using 9" of tread on a 10" rim, get a 9" freakin rim dude... it is excessive and i see absolutely no performance benefit what so ever so i think it's retarded. the rim does indeed look really cool BUT if it doesnt fit the car (look good on the car) you're wasting your time.
please, someone enlighten me as to how this could possibly do anything more than add rotating mass, look gay, and force one to explain to the tire guy why the hell you want it done.

06-03-2004, 12:08 PM
jeeeeeeeeez are you kidding? have you considered the fact that there would be little to none sidewall flex or movement? it makes transition in and out of drifts very easy (for me at least) the car does not want to snap as bad in the rear. 9" wide tire on 9" wide wheel would flex unless the sidewall was very strong as i have heard the azenis sport's are.
Heartwork

well, it doesnt help perform in a GRIP/AUTO-X/ROAD Race obviously...
benefits in a drift event however greatly reduces sidewall flex, thus break loose easier....then there are some people who pose by stretching and dont do anything but street drive, which is fine by me if it looks hot and flush...
btw, for those who think stretched tires is unsafe for daily driving should be fucking shot in the forehead...TWICE....these people speak from NO EXPERIENCE

I know you were just trying to help, and I appreciate it, but the price that shop charges for those wheels is too ridiculously overpriced to help anybody. Bee-R's retail prices for painted/powdercoated/whatever and chrome wheels are $268 and $358, respectively. They even have special pricing when you buy them in pairs that is still less than one wheel from that shop. I know a portion of that 80-100% markup pays for shipping, but those prices just don't sit right with me. Making money is one thing, raping people is quite another.

Hey guys thanx for all the comments on my car. Sorry for the late reply but I have been away for a while. Steeles got it right when answering the question about the wheels specs. I do need to set the camber better but I just haven't had a chance. I paid $1000 for all four wheels + shipping from a private seller. If there are any other questions or comments please feel free to post. Oh and if you want more pics I have those to..... Thanx for all the comments again. Cameron

First, Zemus, I didn't question his dedication, only that he's started a lot of crap from what I can see about stuff he doesn't necessarily know about. I for one apologize slightly cause I was in a bad mood this weekend and didn't take shit with my normal grain of salt. Also my name isn't Mr. 20 posts, any more than yours is Mr. Unable to Spell Properly, no matter how apt the name might be. Second, Arch, you yourself made your comments asking what the performance benefits were, saying there were none. How about we call a truce, no more squabbling, and I'm sorry for getting angry about what I said. We're all here for the cars, so let's leave the insults for the Honda losers. :rawk:
MakotoS13

how incredibly unexpected. good show old chap. oh and i just see the performance gains as debatable. i'd rather have more contact patch and flex in sidewall than less tire and less flex.

Whoa whoa whoa, back the truck up here....that is either a typo or you have the widest tires anyone has ever fit on a 240. 345 is INSANE, but what is even crazier is the fact that you have 325s on the front. :eek2:
